From Surviving to Thriving — Together

Hi, I’m Katrina Hockey, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC, and I’m so glad you’re here. I’m the founder and sole provider at ThriveLine: Telepsychiatry & Mental Wellness, PLLC. I started ThriveLine because I wanted to offer something different from the rushed, transactional medication management so many people have experienced. My goal is to create a space where you feel seen, heard, and supported — where psychiatric care is collaborative, trauma-informed, and tailored to you.

Think of ThriveLine as the passenger seat while you take the wheel — I’ll help guide the way, but you’re in control of your journey from surviving to thriving.

My Journey

My Journey

I began my nursing career in 2013, working in correctional and community-based settings with a strong focus on mental health. Those years shaped my deep commitment to underserved and vulnerable populations, and gave me firsthand experience with how trauma, stigma, and systemic barriers affect mental health.
In 2021, I became a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Since then, I’ve focused exclusively on telepsychiatry, helping adults across Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont. In total, I bring over a decade of nursing experience — with more than four and half years as a PMHNP — to my practice.

Along the way, I pursued advanced training in perinatal mental health through Postpartum Support International, and developed special interests in co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, ADHD, mood disorders, and trauma-related conditions.

My Approach to Care

At ThriveLine, care isn’t “just prescriptions.” I believe healing is most effective when it’s:

  • Collaborative & Patient-Centered — your voice is the most important one in the room.
  • Holistic & Integrated — I weave supportive strategies into medication management, such as CBT-informed skills, motivational interviewing, and psychoeducation.
  • Connected & Team-Oriented — I collaborate with therapists, primary care providers, and case managers to help build a strong, supportive “village” around you.
  • Ethical & Trauma-Informed — I don’t believe in overprescribing or using medication as a band-aid. Medications are tools to help stabilize symptoms and open space for the deeper therapeutic work that leads to lasting recovery.
Too often, people feel like they’re shuffled through 15-minute med checks with no room to tell their story. At ThriveLine, evaluations are thorough, visits are longer, and treatment is personalized. I want you to leave each session feeling heard, understood, and with a plan that makes sense for your life.
I founded this practice exists because I believe people deserve more than survival. Together, we’ll work toward thriving — on your terms, in your timing, with support that honors your humanity.

Outside of Work

Life outside of ThriveLine is full and grounding. I share life in rural Maine with my husband, my 16-year-old stepdaughter, our 3-year-old son, and our dog, Vito (a spirited standard-size Mexican Hairless). I was born and raised in Canada and am now a proud dual citizen of Canada and the United States — my roots in both places have shaped my values of resilience, connection, and community.

I enjoy playing outside with my son, cooking, baking, reading, and unplugging to take in the simple things. Hiking mountains has always been a passion — there’s something profound about pushing yourself to the limit and being met with empowering views — even if these days, family life keeps most of my climbs closer to home. In the winter, you’ll often find me sledding down the hill on our property, and in the summer, swimming at our camp.

I find taking in the beauty of nature — in every season — deeply grounding.
